Privacy Policy

Who operates this website

JFula.com is the professional portfolio and informational website of Joseph Fula, an independent product designer, creative technologist, and AI consultant in Lowell, Massachusetts. This policy explains information handling for the public website and related inquiries. Separate arrangements may apply to client projects.

Browsing and website operation

The site is designed to minimize personal information collection. I do not intentionally collect personal information merely because you browse, beyond what is needed for website operation, security, or functionality. This does not mean browsing involves no information processing.

Cloudflare provides website delivery and protection. It may process IP addresses, requested URLs, request times, browser and device information, referring pages, and security or bot-detection signals. Technical logs and traffic metrics may be available to the hosting provider or site operator. The information processed and retained depends on the services and settings in use. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Contact inquiries

The form asks for your name, email address, inquiry type, and message. Your message may also contain organization or business details and any additional information you choose to provide. Please do not include passwords, financial account details, identification numbers, confidential client materials, or other sensitive information.

Reviewing an inquiry prepares text in your browser; it does not submit the message to a website database or message service. Copy Inquiry copies the text to your device's clipboard. Open Email Draft opens your email app with an address and a general subject, without putting your message or personal details into the draft URL. You paste the message and decide whether to send it. Nothing is sent to me until you send the email.

If you send an email, your email service and the service used to receive my correspondence process it. Your message, email address, and ordinary email metadata may be stored in mailboxes, sent folders, backups, or business correspondence records. Your device or email service may also save an unsent draft. The website does not itself operate an inquiry database, and its application code does not log inquiry contents.

How inquiry information is used

I use information you voluntarily send to review and respond to your inquiry, discuss requested services or possible projects, prepare relevant follow-up communication, and maintain reasonable business inquiry records. Information may also be used where necessary to address security or abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

Sending an inquiry does not create a client relationship, contract, or commitment to provide services. It does not enroll you in a mailing list or marketing campaign. I do not sell personal information or use inquiry information for unrelated advertising.

Cookies, browser storage, and analytics

The site's application code sets no cookies and does not use local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, service workers, advertising pixels, visitor profiles, or fingerprinting. Form text is held in the current page. Your browser may independently retain autofill information, restored pages, or cached files; your device controls clipboard storage.

Cloudflare may set cookies needed for enabled delivery or protection features. Examples include cf_clearance for challenge status and __cf_bm for bot management, if those features are enabled. Their appearance depends on the request and hosting settings; they are not advertising cookies. See Cloudflare's cookie information for purposes and behavior.

Hosting settings may insert Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page performance. This site's configured content policy blocks that external script. Cloudflare can still generate traffic or security metrics from requests. No advertising or analytics cookies are set by the site's own code.

You can manage or delete cookies and other site data through your browser settings. Blocking necessary infrastructure cookies may affect access or security checks. Following an external link may allow that separate website to use its own cookies or storage.

Sharing and service providers

Necessary hosting and email providers may process information to deliver the site, handle correspondence, maintain systems, and address abuse. This operational processing is different from selling information or using it for unrelated advertising. Providers may process information in the United States and other places where they operate.

I may disclose information when reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, or address fraud or misuse. Third-party websites, software repositories, videos, social platforms, and other linked services have their own terms and privacy practices. I do not control them. Videos are linked rather than embedded in this site.

Retention and reasonable safeguards

Inquiry information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, legitimate business records, dispute resolution, or applicable legal requirements. There is no single fixed retention period for every inquiry. Hosting and email providers also have their own retention and backup processes.

The website uses HTTPS and limits requested information and permitted scripts. I take reasonable measures appropriate to protect inquiry information in my control. No internet transmission, email service, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Email is not represented as end-to-end encrypted, and the form is not a channel for sending confidential or highly sensitive material.

Your requests and questions

To ask about information you voluntarily sent, use the contact form and select Privacy request, then send the prepared message from your email app. You may request access, correction, or deletion. Describe the information and request without sending identity documents or additional sensitive details unless an appropriate method is separately arranged.

I may need reasonable information to verify your identity and locate the correspondence. Requests are handled subject to applicable law, required response periods, and legitimate retention obligations. I will explain any limitation on fulfilling a request. Depending on where you live and the activities involved, additional legal rights may apply; this policy does not limit them.

Children under 13

This website is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly solicit personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent personal information, use the privacy contact process. If I learn that such information was received, I will take appropriate steps to delete it and stop further use, subject to any retention or other action required by applicable law.

Policy changes

I may update this policy as the site or its practices change. Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, I will provide that notice or obtain that consent before the affected processing. See also the Terms of Use.
